The Municipality of Jasper is developing a five-year Climate Adaptation Action Plan which will provide the foundation to guide climate adaptation efforts and enhance preparedness and resilience across Jasper. The goal is to reduce the impacts of climate hazards on our community. In 2024, a Climate Risk Assessment Report was prepared for Jasper, it indicated that the top climate-related hazards that might have a direct impact on our community are: Wildfire, Wildfire Smoke, Extreme Heat, Lightning, Freezing Rain and Glacial Recession. The Department of Urban Design and Standards (UDS) is seeking input from the residents of Jasper for the development of our Climate Adaptation Action Plan. Your input will help define our priorities and build a more resilient community.
