Notification deliveries/Short term closures

Thanks to all the Prime Contractors who’ve taken the time to obtain Rebuild SPSU Permits — we really appreciate your efforts!

As a quick reminder, please make sure your sub‑contractors are aware of any closure requirements included in your SPSU permit. We’ve had a few recent instances where subs arrived to deliver materials or work on sites with valid permits but didn’t put the proper safety measures in place, which unfortunately led to warnings or fines.

To help keep everyone safe (and avoid unnecessary disruptions), please share your Rebuild SPSU permit details with your sub‑contractors and make sure they understand what’s expected when closing sidewalks, parking lanes, or driving lanes.

Thanks for helping keep rebuild operations safe and well‑coordinated!

Construction Coordination

Marmot Pit - Builder Input Requested

Parks Canada is working with McElhanney Consulting to develop a Marmot Pit solution that meets both community rebuild needs and Parks Canada operational requirements.

To help shape a solution that is appropriately sized, cost-effective, and responsive to community demand, builder input is essential. Feedback will inform clean fill disposal and storage needs, as well as the evaluation of cost-recovery options based on expected use.

Builders interested in providing input on their clean fill disposal or storage requirements are encouraged to contact:
