Rebuild Jasper Industry Bulletin - October 16, 2025

16 October 2025

With construction on home rebuilds underway and ramping up, the Municipality of Jasper (MoJ) will be launching additional communications which are expected to be sent out approximately twice a month moving forward.

Construction Coordination

ATCO Updates

ATCO Electric continues to re-install shallow utilities in Cabin Creek and around town. For information on which sites have been released from ATCOs use in Cabin Creek, please visit Cabin Creek Utility Rebuild Project for information.

ATCO has published an updated map showing which lots in Cabin Creek West have been 'released' following completion of utility re-installation work. Builders working on active construction zone properties should contact ATCO directly about starting work on those lots.

Provide your Input! Soil and material storage

The Jasper Recovery Coordination Centre (JRCC) is working with Parks Canada and other partners to evaluate soil storage and material needs to support the rebuild process. We understand that builders require access to soil storage and materials both now and in the coming years.

Builders Meeting- save the date and FYI

The Municipality of Jasper will be hosting more Builders Meetings similar to last year to hear feedback on what worked well during the 2025 construction season and to plant the seeds for work that needs to happen before the 2026 construction season starts.

The first meeting date is Friday, November 28, 2025 at 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. This meeting is focused for builders already working in Jasper and because space will be limited please send people who can identify what is working well and what needs improvement and who are keen to collaborate with others to work on practical solutions.

A second date early in the new year is also being planned which will have more space. Please request to attend at the following link: https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?i...

Need space for materials? Parking? Rebuild Street Use Permits are for you!

The Municipality of Jasper is now issuing 'Rebuild SPSUs' for longterm exclusive use of lands in front of a site (and in the back) without needing an SPSU for every closure!

This means you can get a year-long, single permit approved that allows for use of the parking lane, and closures of the sidewalk, driving lane and back alley when you need to. Traffic accommodation plans for each kind of closure (Sidewalk, Driving Lane AND Back Alley) are required but these permits will allow us all to handle changes to timelines and delivery schedules much easier.

If you are interested in this option, please make a note of that in your application.

To submit an application please visit: Street and Public Use Application. Permit applications must be submitted at least five (5) business days in advance and include a traffic accommodation plan.

Want to temporary RVs to municipal services in town

Planning to place an RV on a property in town thanks to Parks Canada's temporary use policy?

  • Up to 2 RV's per leasehold (residential, commercial, institutional zones)- no permit is required.
  • If you'd like to put more than 2 on a site, submit a development application to Parks Canada.

Site servicing connections in town require the Municipal Site Servicing Application form:

Online Utilities Map

The MoJ has recently set up a new online utilities map that shows the approximate location of water, sewer and stormwater infrastructure in town.
