Community Recovery Needs Assessment


Your answers are important to help us understand how the 2024 wildfire has affected the community.


This survey will help us plan for both short-term and long-term support and recovery.


Why we're doing this survey:

The information you provide will be used to:

• Understand the needs of people in the community after the 2024 wildfire.

• Help create programs and services to support families and individuals affected by the wildfire.

• Help make long-term recovery plans for the community.

Confidentiality:

  • Your participation in this survey is completely optional.
  • All answers will be anonymous.
  • We will not collect any personal information that can identify you.
  • The information we gather will only be used for planning and recovery.

Your information will not be shared with any other organizations or agencies. However, the combined information from everyone who completes the survey will be used in publicly available reports and recovery plans.


Voluntary participation:

  • You are free to skip any questions or stop participating at any time without any problems.
  • Whether or not you participate will not affect your ability to get help or services.


Benefits and Risks:

  • There are no direct rewards for taking the survey, but your answers will help us plan recovery programs that will help the community.
  • Taking this survey will not create any risks for you or your household.

The information you provide will be used to help create programs and services for people affected by the 2024 wildfire and guide plans for long-term recovery.

Who should complete this survey?

With this survey, we hope to get 1 response from the selected households that were living in Jasper at the time of the wildfire.

A household is a group of people who share a home and related costs as a single unit.

It can include families but does not include roommates who pay rent separately.

If you know that someone else in your household has already completed the survey, we ask that you don’t fill it out again.

If you were not living in Jasper at the time of the 2024 wildfire, we ask that you do not fill out this survey.

Trigger Warning

This survey touches upon heavy subjects such as damages, displacement, community barriers, mental health, and financial health which can be triggering for some respondents who have experienced trauma from this event.
